ABOUT ALLI

Alli is Thrive's founder and lead behaviour consultant. In addition to providing one-on-one behaviour support (specialising in aggression), she teaches group classes with Thrive.

​

My name is Alli, and I own and operate Thrive Canine while also practising as a full-time technology lawyer. I have been training dogs since 2016 and operating my business since 2021.

​

I live with three border collies, Cooper (born 2014), Atlas (born 2019), and Flynn (born 2021). Both Cooper and Flynn have behavioural challenges - you name it, we've lived it and worked through it ourselves.

​

Since 2014, I've made it my mission to learn everything I can about aggression and reactivity, not just for the dogs close to me, but for yours too. I know how isolating it is to have a difficult dog and feel like no one understands them - and it's that gap that I'm here to fill.

​

My goal is to educate families and the broader community in the "how" and "why" of aggression and reactivity so that we can prevent, mitigate and work through it together, while prioritising the health and wellbeing of our dogs.

 

I pride myself on keeping up to date with the latest scientifically proven training methods, and only use force free, humane training techniques tailored to suit the dog and family with whom I am working.

Cooper

Born in 2014. Cooper suffers from anxiety, fear-based aggression, compulsive behaviours and spondylosis. Cooper continues to teach us a lot about aggressive behaviours and why they occur.

    Born 2019. Atlas has a beautiful temperament and often attends set-ups to help train with our reactive dog clients.

      Flynn

      Born 2021. Flynn was a confident, highly social puppy whose behaviour turned at the flick of a switch at eight months of age. Flynn has displayed reactivity to dogs, cars, trucks, motorbikes, bikes, children, joggers, and novel items.

        Maggie

        Born 2015. Maggie was a sweet, clever greyhound who Hannah adopted in 2017. Bred and raised in the racing industry, Maggie was very anxious out in the big wide world. Her rehabilitation spurred Hannah's passion for animal welfare and behaviour, and drove her to become the trainer she is today. Maggie unexpectedly crossed the rainbow bridge in 2023, and is deeply missed.
